PORT GIBSON — Services for Willie Jeff James, 75, of Port Gibson, who died Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Rising Sun Missionary Baptist Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. Dr. Donnie Ray Baker officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Red Lick under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. James was born Nov. 9, 1941, in Port Gibson, the son of James Clarence James and Cleo Gaines.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Ike Baker Sr.; two sisters; and one nephew.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Thomas; two sisters, Anita Smith and Shirley Darden, all of Port Gibson; three brothers, the Rev. Dr. Donnie R. Baker of Hempstead, N.Y., Lonnie Earl and Ike Baker Jr., both of Port Gibson; two sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including the Gaines and Trevilion families.
