NATCHEZ — Services for Julia Reason Ware, 75, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Linwood Baptist Church with the Rev. D.W. Howard officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the Natchez chapel and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Ware was born Sept. 2, 1941, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Alfred Reason Sr. and Julia Tyler Reason.
She was a member of LF&C Society.
Mrs. Ware was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnny Ware; one daughter, Linda Ware Morgan; one grandson, VicCarlos Mason; three sisters, Melinda Johnson, Georgia Pickett and Ethel Collins; and seven brothers, twin brother Junus Reason, Melvin Reason, Freeman Reason, Alfred Reason Jr., Clarence Reason, James Reason and Leon Reason.
Survivors include five daughters, Sarah Mason, Georgia Ware, Lillie Bradford and husband, Herbert Jr., Jessie L. Ware, all of Church Hill, and Virgie Amos of Natchez; three sons, Jessie J. Ware and wife, Sylvia, of Paris, Texas, Marcus Ware and Kenny Ware and wife, Patricia, all of Natchez; one son-in-law, Robert Morgan Sr.; one brother, Freeman Reason Jr. and wife, Esther, of Natchez; eight stepchildren, Johnnie M. Thompson of Fayette, Pearlie Sanders, John E. Ware, Donail Ware, all of Natchez, Monroe Ware of Las Vegas, Steven Fitzgerald of Marietta, Ga., Elissa Morris of Lonoke, Ark., and Tracey Scott of Georgia; 34 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
