VIDALIA — Services for Marie Theresa “Teedy” Bradford Gascon, 89, who died Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Sunrise Assisted Living in Baton Rouge, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Burial will follow in Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
Mrs. Gascon was born Feb. 24, 1928, in New Orleans.
“Teedy” spent her entire life as a devoted and nurturing wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was a daily communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and member of the church choir for many years. She was a member of the Our Lady of the Lourdes Altar Society and one of its former presidents. She was a member of the Natchez Garden Club and Natchez’s Women’s Book Society.
Mrs. Gascon was blessed with two families.
She was preceded in death by her biological parents, Eugene and Jeanne Carter; adoptive parents, Millard and Ida Bradford; eight siblings, Eugene Carter Sr., Laura Carter SDS, Marjorie Mackles, Charles Carter, Marie Ann Carter, Elaine Stine, Ivan Bradford and Milton Bradford.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 72 years, Irby “Coonie” Gascon; three children, Karen Foley and husband, Edward, of Natchez, Kim Mascagni and husband, Charles, of Baton Rouge and Irby Gascon III and wife, Bella, of Van Nuys, Calif.; eight grandchildren, Logan Foley, Cullen Foley and wife, Sage, Kate Foley and finacé, Lane Feltus, Charles Mascagni III and wife, Fran, Malorie Sitar and husband, Adam, Liza Pigott and husband, Jake, John Mascagni and Sofia Gascon; and two great-grandchilden, Callan and Jane Sitar.
Pallbearers will be Edward Foley, Logan Foley, Cullen Foley, Charles Mascagni Jr., Charles Mascagni III and John Mascagni.
Special thanks to caretakers, Rose Williams, Deirdre Arrington, Shelia Marshall, Addie Bass and the staff of Sunrise at Siegen and Hospice in His Care of Baton Rouge.
