NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Betty Jane Clark Rowe, 68, of Natchez, who died Wednesday,  March 8, 2017, at Merit Health Natchez after losing her fight with cancer, will be announced at a later date.

Mrs. Rowe was born Dec. 29, 1949, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kuna, Idaho, the daughter of  William Hyrum Clark and Katherine Edna Hill Clark.

She was an accomplished operatic soprano and performed “Madam Butterfly” by invitation at BYU in Provo, Utah, during her senior year.

Mrs. Rowe had been involved in the health-care industry since the 1970s. She was currently a co-owner of Veterans Foster Medical Home in Natchez.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Steven Rowe; two daughters, Shelly Rowe of Natchez and Katie Rowe Flores of Blackfoot, Idaho; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, William H. Clark of Salt Lake City, Utah.
