Mr. Dallas was born on Feb. 18, 1930 in Natchez, the son of Freely Skyles Dallas and Virginia B. Walton Dallas. “Jack” was named by his brother, Thomas, at birth, and was known by this name especially by his family.
He attended school in Natchez and graduated from Natchez High School. He attended Mississippi State University and Louisiana State University. Jack served in the National Guard and served in the 511th Aircraft Control Squadron stationed in Japan during the Korean War.
