WOODVILLE — Services for Paul Stewart Skinner, 23, of Woodville, who tragically died Friday, March 10, 2017, in an automobile accident in Pontotoc County, will be 2 p.m. today at Woodville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bernard Waites, the Rev. Brian Pullen and the Rev. Warren Whitaker II officiating.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Woodville under the direction of Newman Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Paul Stewart Skinner was born July 7, 1993, at Natchez Regional Hospital, the son of Eric Skinner and Laney Habig Skinner.
He was a 2011 graduate of Wilkinson County Christian Academy and was honored to represent his high school as a varsity football and baseball letterman, a member of the WCCA Hall of Fame, homecoming king, Mr. WCCA and as Best All-Around Boy.
After graduation from WCCA, he attended his beloved University of Mississippi. While at Ole Miss, he worked as a student trainer for the 2011, 2012 and 2013 Ole Miss Rebel football teams.
He graduated May 2016, with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. At the time of his death, he was employed as a loan officer with Tower Loans in Pontotoc.
Mr. Skinner was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Quentin and Marion Stewart of Magnolia, and paternal grandfather, Charles Gene Skinner of Bassville.
Survivors include his parents; two brothers, Charles Tyler Skinner and Andrew Blane Skinner; maternal grandparents, Paul and Charlene Habig; paternal grandparents, Dennis and Carolyn Sanders, all of Woodville; great-grandmother, Helen Boyte of Natchez; uncle and aunt, Ken and Mary Stewart Habig of Brandon; two uncles, Mark Sanders and Mike Sanders, both of Woodville; one aunt, Regina Skinner Mathis of Hermanville; and eight first cousins, Lauren Habig, Doug Habig, Will Habig, Matthew Sanders, Lindsey Sanders, Aaron Sanders, Brandon Sanders and Denny Skinner.
Attendants will be Charles Tyler Skinner, Andrew Blane Skinner, Douglas Kendrick Habig Jr., Blake Carlisle Cadden, Zachary Heath Thomas, Zachary Weber, Aaron Sanders, Brandon Sanders, Matthew Sanders, Denny Skinner, Brett Patterson and Austin Goodfellow.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to Wilkinson County Christian Academy or to the University of Mississippi Athletic Association.
