NATCHEZ — Services for Sylvester “Chat” Brown Jr., 56, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at his residence, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Stanton officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the Natchez Chapel and from noon until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Brown was born June 29, 1960, in Natchez, the son of Sylvester Brown Sr. and Kathleen Dukes Brown.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Ike Goings, Clora Green Goings, Thornton and Dosha Brown.
Survivors include three sisters, Rose Smith, Kathleen Dukes and Juanita Dukes; six brothers, Charlie Dukes, Manuel Dukes, Leroy Dukes, Walker Dukes, Elbert Dukes and Gerald Wells; one uncle, Roosevelt Brown; three aunts, Ruthie Tucker, Clora McCelleis and Mary Lockett; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
