NATCHEZ — Services for Nancy Carol Rushing Smith, 74, of Natchez, who died Friday, March 24, 2017, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, will be 11 a.m. today at Springfield Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip Hemby and the Rev. Kevin Campbell officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Mrs. Smith was born Jan. 7, 1943, in McCall Creek, the daughter of Willie J. Rushing and Willie Burr Rushing.

She was a charter member of Springfield Baptist Church.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Carice Cox, Margie Cole and Susie Boles.

Survivors include one son, Vernon White and wife, Shannon; one daughter, Pamela Dianne Cupit, all of Vidalia; eight grandchildren, Cody White, Sessions Vestal, Danielle White, Brandon Warshaw, Ashton Fauver, Meagan White, Amy Tolliver and Stacey Pillault; six great-grandchildren, Riley Cupit, Annalise Cupit, Eli Griffin, Leya Green, Colby Green and Addy Green; two sisters, Louise Buckles of Natchez and Dianne Rushing of Waveland; and one brother, James Edward Rushing of Brookhaven.

Pallbearers will be Ralph Cox, Sessions Vestal, Cody White, Brandon Warshaw, Noah Pillault and Joseph Tolliver.

Honorary pallbearer will be Donnie Boles.
