NATCHEZ — Services for Mary Ella “Sal” Malone, 84, who died Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Natchez Rehab and Health Care Center, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Kirby with the Rev. Dr. Steven Harrison officiating.

NATCHEZ — Services for Mary Ella “Sal” Malone, 84, who died Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Natchez Rehab and Health Care Center, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Kirby with the Rev. Dr. Steven Harrison officiating.

Burial will follow at Leesdale Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
A celebration of life wake service will be 7 p.m. today at the funeral home followed by a visitation.
Visitation will continue from noon until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Malone was born Sept. 13, 1932, in Franklin County, the daughter of Ben Calcote and Ella Harris Calcote.
She was self-employed before she retired. She was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church where she served on the mothers’ board.
Mrs. Malone enjoyed attending church services, cooking, watching Steve Harvey shows and loving her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Warren J. Malone; six brothers, Elbert Parker, Allen Mayberry, Claudy Mayberry, Charlie Cage, Sam Calcote and Johnnie Calcote; and two sisters, Louise Harris and Arie Dunbar.
Survivors include two sons, Bennie Calcote and wife, Gwynevere, and Randy Malone and wife, Virginia; two daughters, Joyce Malone and Betty Malone; two sisters, Margaret Staten and husband, MacArthur, and Emma Lee Sanders; and a number of other relatives and friends.
