JONESVILLE— Services for Betty A. Beard, 78, of Jonesville, who died in Jonesville on Saturday, April 8, 2017, will be 2 p.m. Monday, in Young’s Funeral Home Jonesville with the Rev. Raymond Beard and the Rev. Jack Knapp officiating.

Burial will follow in Scott Cemetery in Monterey under he direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Beard was a member of River of Life Church Winnsboro, La., the daughter of Hoyet and Evelyn Holloway.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carlos C. Beard; two sons, Charles Ivy Beard and Carlos C. Beard, Jr.; and two brothers, Gene Holloway and Wayne Holloway.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Beard Arnold and husband, Arnie, of Jonesville; son, Carlos “Kenny” Beard and wife, Tammy, of Jonesville; one adopted granddaughter of her son Charles, Jennifer Beard McClenahan; grandchildren Cory Lee Beard, Donnie Beard, Justin Grant and Brandon Beard, great grandchildren Cassidy Beard, Caylon Beard, Katlyn Beard, Carson Beard, Sunni Pearl Grant, Ashlynn Ivy McClenahan, Alayna McClenahan, Gracie McClenahan and Nathan Beard; and two sisters, Glinda Hodges of Ferriday, and Shirley French of Natchez.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Lipsey, Ray Curry, Ben King, Harvey Ray White, Lannie Lipsy and Alvin Sanson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. W.C. Coney, Thomas Green, Paul Hardy and Steve Murrell.
