WOODVILLE — Services for Henry Leroy “Dude” Nettles, 69, a lifelong resident of Woodville, who died Monday, April 10, 2017, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Jackson, will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Pioneer Baptist Church with the Rev. Warren Whittaker II officiating.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Woodville under the direction of Brown Funeral Home in Gloster.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
Mr. Nettles was born May 23, 1947, the son of James H. Nettles and Hazel Vines Nettles.
He was a Vietnam veteran and a millwright with Georgia Pacific.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Henry Nettles Jr.; two brothers, Malcolm “Bub” Callender and Douglas Nettles; and two sisters, Hazel Ann Callender and Helen Virginia Rowell.
Survivors include his wife, Penny Nettles; one son, Jason Nettles and wife, Tracie, of St. Francisville, La.; two stepsons, Edward Dearing and Martin Dearing; one grandson, Hunter Nettles; one granddaughter, Graycee Nettles; one brother, Dennis Nettles; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
