FERRIDAY — Services for Vanessa White, 46, who died Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 1 p.m. Friday at Harvest Baptist Church in Ferriday.
Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. today with a celebration of life wake service at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Visitation will continue Friday from noon until service time at the church.
Ms. White was born Sept. 8, 1970, in Pineville, La., the daughter of Joseph and Mary Ellan White.
She was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church in Ferriday. She enjoyed beading and playing cards.
Ms. White was preceded in death by her grandparents, Evelyn Jones, Archie Williams Sr., Josephine White and Joe Sontoya Sr.; great-grandparents, the Rev. Jake Jones Sr. and Renell Smith Jones; and one uncle, Jimmy Thomas Sr.
Survivors include her parents; two brothers, James Elliot Jones and DeMarcus Damon White; one sister, Angel Nicole White; seven aunts; five uncles; one niece, Afrika Alexander; a special great-niece, McKenzie Mary Ellan Alexander; four nephews, Brandon Metcalfe, Randy Jones, Malcolm Alexander, Demarcus White Jr. and James Jones Jr.; and a number of other relatives and friends.
