WATERPROOF — Services for Myrtle Jean “Susie” Robinson, 75, of Baton Rouge, formerly of Waterproof, who died Sunday, April 9, 2017, at Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church in Waterproof with the Rev. Kelly Anderson officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Robinson was born Nov. 6, 1941, in Waterproof, the daughter of Spencer and Delcia Rogers Frazier.
She was a member of Cypress Grove Baptist Church where she served on the mother’s board.
Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Robinson, and one son, the Rev. Willie Tyrone Robinson.
Survivors include four sons, Ronnie Robinson and Keith Robinson, both of Baton Rouge, Barion Robinson and wife, Lizzie, of Denham Springs, La., and Quintin Robinson and wife, Motoko, of San Antonio, Texas; two daughters, Roslyn Foster of Baton Rouge and Carmen Thomas and husband, Travis, of Denham Springs; one daughter-in-law, Linda Robinson of Ferriday; two brothers, Jeffery Donald and Norman Donald, both of Providence, Va.; four sisters, Gladys Pollard and husband, Sandy, of Bowling Green, Va., Mona Donald and Gloria Donald, both of Dayton, Ohio, and Edna Wright of Houston; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
