Adams County Sheriff’s Office Maj. Jerry Brown said at approximately 4:30 p.m., the owner of G’s Tire Service drove to his business and allegedly witnessed Woods taking the tires and air compressor. The victim called the sheriff’s office and also attempted to block Woods in the business, Brown said.

Brown said Woods was able to get around the victim’s vehicle and head back toward Natchez, but deputies intercepted him near the other Morgantown Road intersection with U.S. 61 near McDonald’s.

Brown said the total value of the items that were taken is approximately $1,300.

Woods has a warrant with the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office in Texas for felony flight from an officer. Brown said Woods would be extradited to Texas after he answers to Adams County’s charges.

Woods was in jail Friday with no bond set.
