NATCHEZ- Services for Elmer Roy Jackson Jr., 76, of Kingston, who died Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Russell Waggoner officiating.
Burial will follow at Jersey Settlers Cemetery in Kingston under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Jackson was born May 11, 1940, in Kilgore, Texas, the son of Elmer Roy Jackson Sr. and Lillie Mae Hudspeth Jackson.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and was an avid outdoorsman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Johnny Jackson, Hollis Jackson and William Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Janie Annette Jackson; one son, Jeffrey Jackson; two granddaughters, Savannah Jackson and Rebekah Jackson; one brother, Eddie Lee Jackson; and three sisters, Melva, Kay and Neva May.
Pallbearers will be Dan Carter, Bob Kerridge, Mark Laurent, Farris Thompson, Todd Cheney and Curt Freeman.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Easterly and Millard Williams.
