NATCHEZ — Services for Leroy “Buck” King, 66, of Natchez, who died Friday, April 14, 2017, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Smith Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest Ford Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Natchez chapel and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. King was born June 29, 1950, in Jefferson County, the son of James King Sr. and Easter Henderson King.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Reginald King and Eric Hall; two sisters, Louise Ford and Katie Brown; and three brothers, Jessie Tyler, Ananas King and Charlie King.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy King; two daughters, Sonya King of Natchez and Serethia King of Clarksville, Tenn.; one stepson, Cedrick Singleton and wife, Crystal, of Decula, Ga.; one sister, Ethel Slack and husband, Felton, of Marrero, La.; one brother, James King Jr. of New Orleans; six grandchildren, JaKyla Jones, Santerria Green, Antwon Branch, Keyana King, DeOndre Singleton and Dylan Singleton; four great-grandchildren, Philip E. Bradley, Braylon Coardes, Jaylon Green and Kailynn Green; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
