Mr. and Mrs. William David Scarbrough of Meadville announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Katherine Lee Scarbrough to Austin Theodore McCormick, also of Meadville, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Edward McCormick of Union Church.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Franklin County High School and the University of Southern Mississippi. She is employed by Enterprise Attendance Center in Brookhaven as a third-grade teacher.

She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Robertson of Homochitto and Mr. and Mrs. William M. Scarbrough of Meadville.

The groom-to-be is also a graduate of Franklin County High School and Mississippi State University. He is employed by Energy Access Solutions — EAS Resources in Vidalia.

He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. William P. McCormick of Union Church, Mr. and Mrs. Stan Jensen of Hot Springs, Ark., and Mrs. Ethel Jackson and the late Ted Jackson of Vidalia.

The wedding will be 6:30 p.m., Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Meadville United Methodist Church.

A reception will immediately follow the ceremony at the home of the bride’s parents.

All friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding and the reception.
