When Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies attempted to serve a warrant on Dew for failure to register as a sex offender, evidence was discovered that reportedly connected Dew to several burglaries in the Deer Park and South Prong Road areas, said CPSO spokesman Vernon Stevens.

Items recovered at Dew’s residence and at another location to which Dew had access were reportedly stolen from five separate locations in the area.

Statements from Dew and items recovered at a separate location have led to another suspect in the burglaries, and a warrant has been issued for the arrest of the second suspect, Stevens said.

Stevens would not name the second suspect.

Dew was released on a $12,000 bond Thursday.
