The Rev. Melvin and Mrs. Tammy White of Redlick announce the engagement of their daughter, Angela Quatasha Smith to the Rev. Barry Earl Thompson, son of the late Guy Thompson Sr. and Mrs. Roberta Thompson of Port Gibson.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Jefferson County High School, Alcorn State University and University of Illinois at Urban Champlain.

She is employed by Alcorn State University in Lorman.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. James and Mrs. Beverly Bingham of Redlick and Mrs. Mary Smith and the late Mr. William Smith of Fayette.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Port Gibson High School, Hinds Junior College and is currently attending Alcorn State University.

He is also employed by Alcorn State University.

The wedding will be 3 p.m., Saturday May 27, 2017, at Pilgrim Baptist Church in Natchez.

A reception will follow at the Natchez Community Center.
