Franklin County track has banner day at state meet

Franklin County High School’s Dominique White captured the boys MHSAA Class 3A shot put state championship over the weekend with a throw of 47-05.50.
White wasn’t the only Bulldog member to shine at state as sophomore Leandria Elam claimed the 100 and 300 meter hurdle titles with times of 15.48 and 46.79.
Syeria Adams came in second in the girls discus throw with a toss of 99-06.
Meanwhile, Tekysa Thompson finished third in the 100 meter dash with a personal best time of 12.46.
Takia Jackson claimed an eighth place finish in the 100 with a time of 13.09.
The Bulldogs are coached by Steve Davis and Ashley Weathersby.
