MEADVILLE — Services for Jimmie M. Case Gerald, 88, of Meadville, who died Monday, May 8, 2017, at Meadville Convalescent Home, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Marvin Howard officiating.
Burial will be 3:30 p.m. at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gerald was born July 20, 1928, in Franklin County, the daughter of Otis Kent and Bernice Barksdale Germany.
She was Baptist.
Mrs. Gerald enjoyed fishing, reading her Bible, gospel music, word puzzles and visiting with her neighbors at the nursing home.
She dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Mrs. Gerald was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Shelly Case Wagley; one sister, Sarah Free; and one brother, Kent Germany.
Survivors include three daughters, Ellen Case Woods and Annie Case, both of Washington, and Sarah Carman of Sibley; one son, Delmar Case of Roxie; one brother, Guy Germany of Tampa; 13 grandchildren, Regina, Sara Jo, Annie, John David, Lavonne, Tunya, Jody, Robert, Anna, Paula, Jim, Buster and Charlie; and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Cory Renfrow, Austin Carman, Charlie Wagley, Preston Wagley, Jody Carman and Dillon O’Conner.
The family extends a special thank you to the entire staff of the Meadville Convalescent Home.
