Adams County Christian School pair Kaci Guedon and Austin Heard recorded a thrilling semifinal win, but the mixed-doubles junior tandem fell short in the finals.

The South No. 1 seed Guedon and Heard won in a seven-point tiebreak in the semifinals, 7-2, but then came up short to Heritage Academy in the finals, 6-2, 6-0.

“This mixed-doubles team had a fantastic season,” ACCS coach Jim Bob Allgood said. “I was proud of them all year long. For them to make it to the state championship as juniors, that says a lot for both of these athletes.”
