RUSTON, La. — Services for Danny Wayne Hammett, 68, of Ruston, La., formerly of Natchez, who died Tuesday, May 9, 2017, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston with the Rev. Derek Schultz officiating.

Burial will be 3 p.m. at the Bethany Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery near Coushatta, La., under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Hammett was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Hammett.

Survivors include his wife, Dolores Hammett; one daughter, Rebecca Schultz and husband, Derek, of Sheridan, Wyo.; one son, Josh Hammett and wife, Kelly, of Ruston; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn Schultz, Daniel Schultz and Alex Hammett; his mother, Ovie McBride of Baton Rouge; one brother, Jesse Hammett Jr. and wife, Dell, of Baton Rouge; one sister, Debra Bolton and husband, Barry, of Natchitoches, La.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
