VIDALIA — Services for Dorothy Martin Perkins, 75, of Ferriday, who died Thursday, May 4, 2017, at her residence following a long illness, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Triumph Baptist Church in Vidalia with the Rev. Doug Logan officiating.

Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Perkins was born April 19, 1942, in Marville, La., the daughter of Walter and Estella Miles Martin.

She was a homemaker and a member of Triumph Baptist Church.

Mrs. Perkins was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur Perkins Sr.; and one son, Arthur Perkins Jr.

Survivors include two sons, Myron Perkins and wife, Shelia, and Patrick Perkins; four daughters, Gilbertine Perkins Armsted and husband, Larry, Beverly Perkins, JoAnn Perkins and Gloria Perkins, all of Ferriday; two sisters, Elizabeth Martin and Mary Martin Hill, both of Dallas; twin godchildren, Barry and Larry Brown of Vidalia; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
