NATCHEZ — Services for Jency Marie Lyles Marsaw, 55, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, May 9, 2017, in Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church No. 1 with the Rev. Michelle Brooks officiating.
Burial will follow at Rehoboth Church of God in Christ Cemetery in Sibley under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. today with a celebration of life wake service at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Visitation will continue Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
Mrs. Marsaw was born Dec. 1, 1961, in Adams County, the daughter of Lamkin “Doc” Lyles and Bessie Lyles.
She was a 1980 graduate of South Natchez High School and furthered her studies at Alcorn State University. She was a member of Bright Morning Star Baptist Church.
Jency enjoyed cooking and was a faithful New Orleans Saints fan.
Mrs. Marsaw was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Warren Lyles Bell.
Survivors include her devoted husband, Carl Marsaw; one son, Cyrus Marsaw; three stepchildren, Carl Firley Sr., Karlay Phipps and Steve Marsaw; two goddaughters, Ashley Willis and Tameka Anderson; three brothers, Charles Boxley and wife, Fate, Lamkin Lyles Jr. and wife, Mary, and Sylvester Lyles and wife, Angela; three sisters, Barbara Perry, JoAnn Middleton and husband, Felton, and Deborah Fleming and husband, Eric; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cornelius and Dora Williams; nine grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
