WILKINSON COUNTY — Services for James Howard Murray, 46, lifelong resident of Wilkinson County, who died Friday, May 19, 2017, at University Medical Center in Jackson, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hopewell Methodist Church with the Rev. Bryce Dobson officiating.

Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.

Mr. Murray was born Nov. 21, 1970, in Centreville, the son of Nolan and Beverly Murray Jr.

He worked as a cutter operator in the logging business.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Ann Nichols Murray; one sister, Belinda M. Mann; two brothers, Tommy Joe Murray and Paula, and Nolan Murray lll and Danielle; two nieces, Rosanna Michelle Seals and Randy and Brooke Lea-Anne Murray; three nephews, Nolan Cole Murray, David Shane Murray and Blake Ellis Murray; one great-nephew, Billy Thomas Jr.; and James’s favorite horse, Shorty.
