A warrant had been issued for McGee’s arrest in connection with the armed robbery, where McGee and two other men allegedly robbed a Williams Street resident at gunpoint.

Ford said the men reportedly went to the victim’s house, knocked on the door at approximately 10 p.m. on Dec. 29, 2016.

“The men rushed on (the victim) with a pistol and demanded cash,” Ford said.

The men reportedly took $300 cash, a watch and a diamond ring before leaving the scene.

Ford said until Friday, officers believed McGee was living at a different address. When they discovered McGee’s actual location, Ford said officers went to his house to apprehend him there.

McGee was in the Natchez City Jail Saturday afternoon, held on a $50,000 bond. The police are still looking for two other suspects in the case, Ford said.
