FERRIDAY — A Ferriday woman turned herself in Monday for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend in his neck at the victim’s Florida Avenue residence last month.
Qunnettie White, 21, 146 Max Scott Road, was charged with attempted second-degree murder.
A 44-year-old Ferriday man was stabbed in the neck on May 19 and has since been treated and released from Rapides Medical Center. Initially, the victim reported he was stabbed while walking his dog.
However, investigation at the Florida Avenue residence led police to believe more was involved.
Ferriday Police Investigator Richard Madison said the case is still under investigation, but police believe White allegedly stabbed the victim following a domestic incident.
Madison said the victim is doing well.
White was in jail Monday with no bond set.
