MCCOMB — Services for Dorothy “Dot” Ophelia Beesley Cook, 81, who died Monday, June 5, 2017, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Navilla Baptist Church in McComb with the Rev. Trent Bilbo officiating.    

Burial will follow at Pike Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hartman-Jones Funeral Home in McComb.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Cook was born Nov. 23, 1935, in McBride, the daughter of Lewis W. Beesley and Idell Freeman Beesley.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother-in-law, Henry Duncan Segrest of Natchez.

Survivors include her husband, Charles; one daughter, Donna Lynn Cook Regan; son-in-law, Billy “Bill” Regan of McComb; Dot was the oldest of six children, Maxine “Mack” Maher and husband, Bonnie, of Lorman, Ruby Segrest of Natchez, Walter “Dub” Beesley and wife, Janet, of Smithdale, Charles “CL” Beesley of McComb, and Betty Murray and husband, Elmer, of Natchez; 14 nieces and nephews; a number of great-nieces and great-nephews; one aunt, Mildred Jones; one uncle, Bennie Beesley and wife, Rita; a number of cousins who will miss her; and special relatives, Hilda and Ivey Burton; cousins of her husband, Charles, has always remained in touch.
