NATCHEZ — Services for Dwanda Lee Reed, 52, of Marrero, La., formerly of Natchez, who died Wednesday, May 31, 2017, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Forest Aid Baptist Church with the Rev. Michelle Brooks officiating.   

Arrangements are under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Ms. Reed was born Nov. 18, 1964, in Natchez, the daughter of Sherman A. Seales Sr. and Azerine Reed Martin.

She was a graduate of South Natchez High School and attended Southern University at New Orleans.

Ms. Reed worked in the field of health care. She was a member of Forest Aid Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, traveling and cooking.

Dwanda was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include one son, Joey Hutchins Jr. of Waldroff, Md.; one daughter, Jornethia Marlene Dent and husband, Jarod, of Jacksonville, N.C.; her mother of Natchez; one brother, Cedric B. Reed; three sisters, Sharon Reed-Terrell and husband, Calvin, Shonda F. Moore and Ayoka Woods; one stepbrother, Sherman Seals Jr. and wife, Donnie; six grandchildren, Cadyn, Ceryan, Cyncere, Joel, Czuri and Lundyn; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
