Adams County man charged in stolen ATV investigation

NATCHEZ — An Adams County man was arrested Wednesday after investigators went to a property on Cannonsburg Road in search of stolen ATVs.

Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten and an investigator met with Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputies to search the location, where a total of four allegedly stolen ATVs and a dirt bike were recovered.

One of the ATVs was reported stolen from a residence in Adams County on May 4, while a second ATV was reported stolen to the Natchez Police Department.

The other items were recovered by Jefferson County.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office arrested Damion Whittley, 22, no address listed, on a charge of possession of stolen property.

Patten said Whittley would be charged with grand larceny in Adams County. Patten said more arrests are expected.
