NATCHEZ — The delay of Saturday’s e-edition was caused by Internet problems in St. Louis.

The company that provides the e-edition services for The Natchez Democrat, which is headquartered in St. Louis, lost its Internet connection early Saturday morning, preventing the company from processing and delivering e-editions to its customers.

The company said, in an email this morning that the cause of the problem was unknown, but that the St. Louis area had experienced Internet blackouts in the area, as well as dangerous storm activity late Friday evening.

Saturday’s paper is now available. We regret any problems the delay of the paper may have created.
