FERRIDAY — Services for Jason Lynn Whittington, 33, of Ferriday, who died Monday, June 19, 2017, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Young’s Funeral Home Ferriday Chapel with the Rev. Ronald Hall and the Rev. Jeremy Howington officiating.

Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery in Sicily Island under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Whittington was born Sept. 10, 1983, in Ferriday, the son of Donald Glen Whittington Sr. and Janeane King.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Walter and Marie Whittington; maternal grandfather, James William Nixon Jr.; one aunt, Sharon Lynette Temple; and one cousin, Sharon Lanell Briggs.

Survivors include two sons, Cade Dorman of Ferriday and Harlin Green of Monterey; one daughter, Josie Ann Gamberi of Vidalia; his father and wife, Justine, of Ridgecrest; his mother of Gilbert, La.; one brother, Glen Whittington and wife, Jessica, of Monterey; two sisters, Patty Trackwell and husband, Steven, of Clarksville, Tenn., and Miranda Whittington of Harrisonburg; maternal grandmother, Patricia Steele of Bryant, Ark.; his girlfriend, Haleigh Brooke Anders of Vidalia; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Glen Whittington, Jeremy Hall, Donnie Whatley, Heath Whittington, Cody Cowan and Blaine Briggs.

Honorary pallbearer will be Ronald Whittington.
