NATCHEZ — Regular readers of The Natchez Democrat’s web site who use a mobile phone may notice the site has a new design today.

The changes were created to make the site more responsive for mobile readers.

“As more and more readers view the site from mobile devices, it has become important that we make the site as functional as possible with those devices,” Democrat publisher Kevin Cooper said. “The roll out of the new mobile version should not affect how the site functions for users who visit from a desktop computer.”

Pages on the site should load much more quickly for mobile users.
