FAYETTE — Services for Sa’Maya Faith Grayson, 9, of Fayette, who died Saturday, June 24, 2107, in Fayette, will be 1 p.m. Friday at Church of Christ in Fayette with the Rev. J.L. Hammitte officiating.  

Burial will follow at Fellowship Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

A candlelight vigil will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Fayette Town Park.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Sa’Maya was born June 4, 2008, in Natchez, the daughter of Eric and Nicole Davis Grayson.

She was a Girl Scout, a cheerleader and was very gifted.

Sa’Maya was preceded in death by her grandmother, Susie Mae Cameron; grandfather, Mose Thomas; and cousin, Silento Davis.

Survivors include her parents; two siblings, Sahmaad Grayson and Eric Grayson Jr.; grandmother, Isabel Thomas; three aunts, Tracy Grayson, Hope Davis and Catherine Dotson; two uncles, Alexis Davis and Shaun Davis; and a number of other relatives and friends.
