FAYETTE — Services for Annie Trimble Lockett, 100, who died Friday, June 30, 2017, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church in Fayette with the Rev. Izear Jackson officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home in Fayette.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
Mrs. Lockett was born Oct. 21, 1916, in Jefferson County, the daughter of A.B.E. Trimble and Estella Grayson Trimble.
She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of Mount Pleasant U.M.C., and served on the mother board and the usher board.
Mrs. Trimble was also a member of Mount Valley Chapter No. 29 Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include one daughter, Catherine Lockett of Fayette; one son, Curtis Lockett Jr. of Dallas; four granddaughters, Esther Perryman and husband, Jackie, and Vera D. Hall, all of Fayette, Shirley Faye Riggs of Natchez and Tracy R. Riggs of Jackson.
