NATCHEZ — Services for Carl Alton Ware, 68, of Natchez, who died Friday, June 30, 2017, in Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. LeRoy White officiating.   

Burial will follow at the LaGrange Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 5:45 p.m. today at the funeral home with a celebration of life wake service at 6 p.m.

Visitation will continue Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.

Mr. Ware was born June 28, 1949, in Natchez, the son of James Ware and Daisy Singleton Ware Green.

He was a 1967 graduate of Sadie V. Thompson High School, received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Texas Southern University and attended Texas Southern Graduate School.

Carl was employed by HMO as an accountant for a number of years. He was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. He also was a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Carl enjoyed watching baseball, football and basketball.

He was preceded in death by his mother; two brothers, James E. Ware and Robert Joseph Ware; one son, Trevor Ware; and one sister, Shirley Davis Floyd.

Survivors include his father; one son, Trey Ware; four brothers, Kenneth R. Green of Jackson, Steven Ware and wife, Deanna, Michael Ware and Bradwick Ware, all of Natchez; two sisters, Doris Ware Maynard and husband, Reo, of Natchez and Avonne Ware Walker and husband, Larry, of Houston; and a number of other relatives and friends.
