Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Mack Myers Jr. announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebecca Erin Myers to Tyler Ryan Wheeler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Todd Wheeler and Ms. Stephanie Wheeler.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Cathedral High School and Louisiana Delta Community College in Monroe, La., where she completed the barber program and is a licensed barber in Louisiana and Mississippi.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Nichols Myers and the late Mr. James Arthur Eidt of Natchez and Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Mack Myers of Monticello, La.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Adams County Christian School.

Tyler serves as a member of the U.S. Army National Guard, India Company 106 out of Brookhaven. He is employed by Chop’s Wrecker and Crane in Natchez.

He is the grandson of Ms. Bonnie Lazarus and Ms. Joann Carney of Natchez, Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Thomas Carney of Vidalia and Mr. and Mrs. Marion Yarbrough of Woodville.

The wedding will be 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at St. Mary Basilica.

A reception will immediately follow the ceremony at The Briars.

The couple will live in Natchez.
