Mrs. Richards was born Jan. 24, 1927, in Crystal Springs, the daughter of Warren H. Johnson and Lucille Brown Johnson. She graduated from Crystal High School in 1945.

She lived most of her life in Natchez, where she was the devoted wife and and hard working mother and a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She moved to Oregon in 2006 where she joined the First Baptist Church that she loved so much.

Mrs. Richards enjoyed cooking, tending to her home, family and gardening. She was a well noted horticulturalist — anything she planted would grow.

She is preceded in death by husbands, Woodrow Wilson Holley in 1975 and Henry C. Richards in 1991; two sons, Richard Vickers in 1967 and Nathan Travis Holley in 2013; one sister, Edith Merle Washington; and one brother, Gibson Johnson.

Survivors include two sons, Woodrow Holley and wife, Kathy, and Jeff Holley and wife, Peg; six grandchildren, Mandi Nicole Holley Murphy, Sarah Elizabeth Buholzer, Jeffery Hunter Holley, Nathan Travis Holley, Nikolas David Buholzer and Natalie May Holley; three great-grandchildren, Cameron, Caleb and Levi; her cousin Arva Lee, who was much like a sister; along with a number of family members and many friends.

Mrs. Richards loved her family, her church, her friends and will be terribly missed by all.
