Purple Sox fall at 19U World Series

The 19-and-under Louisiana Purple Sox postseason run came to an end Monday evening.

The Vidalia-based squad managed to beat North Carolina in the morning 6-5, but eventually fell later in the day to South Carolina, 4-3.

The Purple Sox went 2-2 at the tournament.

Jack Whitehead had an RBI and Joshua Day scored two runs against North Carolina. Alex McCready scored two runs in the Purple Sox game against South Carolina.

Lee Lancaster and Christian Day both had hits in each game.
