NATCHEZ — Services for Melba Nations, 78, of Natchez, who died Saturday, July 29, 2017, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Riverside Baptist Church in Natchez with the Rev. Spruce Berden officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.

Mrs. Nations was born Sept. 12, 1938, in Natchez.

She was known as “Mamaw” to so many.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lavon Nations; one son, Henry Moore III; and one daughter, Vicki Lynn Turner.

Survivors include one son, James R. Nations; two daughters, Theresa David and Miranda Clifton and husband, Will; one son-in-law, Pat Turner; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her beloved pet, Whoopie.
