MEADVILLE — Services for Dorothy Emfinger, 86, of Meadville, who died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, at Country Brook Living Center in Brookhaven, will be 5 p.m. today at Franklin County Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Webb Armstrong officiating.

Burial will follow at the Midway Cemetery in Meadville under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Emfinger was born Dec. 19, 1930, in Meadville, the daughter of Simon Jones and Ethel Lee Jones.

She was a faithful member of Sarepta Baptist Church for a number of years where she was a prayer warrior for her family and friends. She was employed for 18 years by Movie Star garment factory in Bude. Mrs. Emfinger was an avid collector of all types of salt and pepper shakers. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rayford Emfinger; two sisters, Madie Arnold and Marie McCall; and three brothers, Webb Jones, Floyd Jones and Claude Jones.

Survivors include four sons, Douglas Emfinger and wife, Jean, of Ridgecrest, Don Emfinger and Jerry Emfinger and wife, Linda, all of Meadville, and Randy Emfinger and wife, Cheryl, of Brookhaven; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Glenn Emfinger, Kevin Kammerdeiner, Mark Reid, Craig Wallace, Daniel Calcote and Toby Landry.
