Natchez Municipal Court Cases

Wednesday, Aug. 2

David Lee Houston Jr., 26, charged with possession of a controlled substance. Case dismissed in consideration to second charge. Houston also pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, but judge holds off on accepting. Ordered to serve 15 hours on community service. Ordered to take an online drug class. Fine set at $750 — cash bond transferred for payment. Restitution set at $180 to be paid to the City of Natchez for crime lab fee.

Isaiah Demarious Smith, 19, charged with shoplifting – 1st offense. Case requested to be dismissed.

Michael L. Ellis, 47, pleaded guilty to simple assault – domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days with 29 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 24 hours in jail. Ordered to online domestic violence class. Fine set at $750 minus $200 cash bond transfer. Must pay a fine of $550.

Tiffany Rollins, 24, pleaded guilty to simple assault. Sentenced to 60 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $675 minus $200 cash bond transfer. Must pay a fine of $475. Rollins also pleaded guilty to petit larceny. Sentenced to 60 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $500. Restitution set at $200.

Michael Scott Spain, 19, charged with carrying a concealed weapon. Officer has made a written request to remand. Spain also charged with beer/wine possession/purchase by a minor. Officer has made a written request to remand.
