MONTEREY — Funeral services for Inis Olivia Lanehart, 94, of Monterey, who died Friday, Aug. 4, 2017,  in Jonesville will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Monterey Church of Christ with Bro. Clyde Grammon and Bro. Paul Avery officiating.

Burial will follow at Scott Cemetery in Monterey, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Mrs. Lanehart was born on April 7, 1923, in Monterey, the daughter of Harry Freeman Blount and Mattie Broussard Blount.

Mrs. Lanehart was a member of Monterey Church of Christ.  She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She was a good mother and a dear friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard “Chippy” Lanehart; two sisters, Margarite Wade and Lucy Farmer; and five brothers, Clyde Blount, Dick Blount, Willard Blount, H.F. Blount and Phillip Blount.

Survivors include five sons, Lehman Lanehart and wife, Brenda, of Monterey, Daniel Lanehart and wife, Dot, of Little Rock, Ark., Charles Lanehart and wife, Sandy, of Monticello, Ark., Harry Lanehart and wife, Kathy, of Lombard, Ill., and Brandon Lanehart and wife, Karen, of Sheriden, Ill.; one daughter, Sally Lanehart of Monterey; 22 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and a special friend, Judy King.

Pallbearers will be Koepp Lanehart, Ty Lanehart, Chuck Lanehart, Jacob Patrick Lanehart, Charles Ward, Jacob Baylor Lanehart and Russell Lanehart.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Bud McClure, Sidney Wiley, Tom Davis and Dr. Huey Moak.
