Trinity Episcopal drops 2 close games

Trinity Episcopal dropped a pair of close contests Friday night, losing 7-6 to Heritage Academy and 13-6 in the nightcap at the Jackson Academy jamboree in Jackson.
Jakarius Caston scored the Saints lone touchdown on an 80-yard run in the final minute of the opening game.
However, quarterback Sterling Yarbrough’s 2-point conversion pass attempt was knocked down to give Heritage the victory.
Heritage scored its touchdown on a 25-yard pass attempt just minutes into the action.
The teams played a 23-minute running half.
In the nightcap, Caston hauled in a 9-yard toss from Yarbrough at the 18:25 minute mark after Tre White recovered a fumble.
Caston also caught a 24-yard pass on the scoring drive.
Simpson Academy scored on a 17-yard run at the 12-minute mark and added its final score on a 55-yard run as time ran out.
Trinity will kickoff its 2017 campaign next Friday at Amite School Center.
