Mr. and Mrs. James R. Freeman and Mr. and Mrs. David L. Gordon of Natchez announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Hannah Leigh Gordon, to David Henry Nichols III, son of the Rev. and Mrs. David Henry Nichols II of Monticello.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Cathedral High School in Natchez and Delta State University in Cleveland. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Gillon III of Natchez and the late Mr. and Mrs. Carol Gordon of Natchez.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Lawrence County High School in Monticello and Mississippi State University in Starkville. He is employed by the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour in Auburn, Ala.

He is the grandson of Ms. Patricia J. Bayse of Wiggins and the late Mr. David H. Nichols Sr. of Belzoni and the late Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Molony of Stonewall and the late Mr. John Hamel Jr. of Bridgeport, Pa.

The couple will be married in a private family ceremony the morning of Sept. 11, 2017, in Natchez.

Family and friends are invited to a reception to be held in their honor from 7 to 10 p.m, Saturday evening, Sept. 16, at Rolling River Bistro in Natchez.
