NATCHEZ — A graveside service for Margaret Allain Gibbs, 93, who died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, at Briar Hill Nursing Home, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Sebrell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gibbs was born on April 16, 1924, in Natchez, the daughter of Henry and Leona Allain. A retired secretary, she worked for the City of Natchez in the tax office. A lifelong Catholic, she cherished spending time with her daughter and grandchildren.

Mrs. Gibbs is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gov. William A. Allain and Henry Allain; and sister, Mary Peale.

Survivors include daughter Charlene Combest and husband, Tommy, of Florence; grandchildren Megan Holeman and husband, Dexter, of Brandon; great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Caleb Holeman; sister, Mildred Newsome of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
