The Franklin County High School Bulldogs are another team from Region 7-3A that is still looking for its first win of the season.
The task won’t be easy, however, as they hit the road to take on the North Pike High School Jaguars.
Kickoff in Summit between the Bulldogs and the Class 5A Jaguars is set for 7 p.m. Friday.
North Pike is 2-0 after impressive wins at Lawrence County (18-0) and South Pike (36-26) — both Class 4A teams.
Franklin County dropped to 0-2 after a tough loss at Class 3A No. 4 Seminary 20-0.
“The defense played really, really well,” Bulldogs head coach Trey Woodard said. “We’re going to work on offense and special teams.”
Woodard also said that his team will be working on ways to slow down North Pike’s defensive line and its speed on offense.
And those are the two biggest challenges Woodard said the Jaguars present.
“Offensive skill. All of them are talented,” he said.
