EVA, La. — Services for Cecil Allen “Johnny” McKey, 57, of Monterey, who died Monday, Aug. 28, 2017, at Columns Nursing Center in Jonesville, will be 10 a.m. today at Eva Church of God with the Rev. Whit Bass and the Rev. Joey Pepmiller officiating.

Burial will follow at Lone Pine Cemetery in Eva under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Mr. McKey was born Aug. 30, 1959, in Natchez the son of Cecil Augustus McKey and Carol Crouch McKey.

He enjoyed visiting with friends, drinking coffee and watching westerns.

Mr. McKey was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Glenda McKey; and an infant brother, Robert Lee McKey.

Survivors include one daughter, Christal Brigman and husband, Darrell, of Monterey; one son, Kirk Ford of Natchez; five grandchildren, Drew McCartney, Calan McCartney, Brooke Brigman, Lil’ Kirk Ford and Heather Purser and husband, Logan; two nephews, Daniel and Aaron Mulvihill; two special aunts, Alyne White and Anita Poole; and a number of cousins, friends and other family.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Mulvihill, Aaron Mulvihill, Drew McCartney, Calan McCartney, James White, Larry Crouch Sr., Gregory Poole and Tommy Louis Crouch.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dave Fancher, James Lee Paul, James Miller Crouch, Dixie Don Hamilton, Grover Elliott, David Earl Morace and Billy Joe Ratcliff.
