Centerville falls to Parklane, 35-16

Trent Coleman and Jay Smith each had two first-half rushing touchdowns as the fifth-ranked Parklane Academy Pioneers cruised to a 35-16 win over the Centreville Academy Tigers Friday night.
Coleman had touchdown runs of 8 and 2 yards to open the scoring for Parklane and went 5-for-5 on extra points. Smith had a 5-yard touchdown run late in the first quarter and a 3-yard scoring run midway through the second quarter.
Parklane (4-0) jumped out to a 35-0 halftime lead and had its back-ups playing in the second half.
Cody Brashier had touchdown runs of 8 and 53 yards in the fourth quarter to make the final score more respectable. Brashier had six carries for 66 yards to lead the Tigers’ offense. Daniel Vine had four carries for 65 yards.
Centreville (1-2) plays at Ben’s Ford at 7 p.m. next Friday.
